I'm getting super excited, its a 4 day weekend!(This means I get to have my dining room chairs painted, my kiddos sandbox built, and the start of my garden happens, yes, fresh squash and bell peppers, I don't know what could taste better :) Also, It's memorial day weekend. I think people forget what this weekend means, especially Americans, who seem to take our freedoms for granted way more than any other country. I was raised in a house where we learned at an early age to appreciate those who gave everything for me to live in this amazing country. Both my grandpa's and my my great-grandfather were in the military and on my husbands side as well. We really try hard to show our kids how grateful you should be of our military and also to not take one single day for granted, I know they are babies, but we have to show them early and often if we want to make an impact :) So after church last week, I have had this verse in my head: "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen but the end is still to come"Matthew 24:6 It's huge and especially with memorial day coming up, I really have been thinking about all of this. Yes, eventually the world will end, I pray that I will be able to spend eternity in Heaven with my Father ( and I hope I will still be with my sweet husband, but that's a totally different post) But for years and years, wars have been going on, and with these wars in Afghanistan and Iraq going on, and rumors of them ending/continuing.. what are we to do besides pray. Pray for those who have given all for us to live in this Amazing country and to be able to believe and pray to an even more AMAZING God! Pray for those who are serving because that's what they believe in and the Lord has placed them exactly where they need to be. This is an awesome weekend, filled with love and memories and honor. We are forever thankful for all you have given to defend this country and our freedoms, so here's to all of you in our military services, you aren't told often enough but THANK YOU! And We will Always remember!

Settling back into things

We are starting to get back into a schedule, back into how a "family" works. It's weird because for so long it was just me taking care of everything on the home front that now I can actually relax is a weird feeling. The hubby has even let me sleep in a few days and that, I think, is one of the weirdest things lol. He has helped making dinner, getting the kiddos ready for bed ( That's super awesome) because I can sit on my bum and relax while my "job" is done for me. But it's weird also, I've been in a sort of funk. I think it's hard for me to totally relax, I feel like we should been packing him up. Getting ready for him to go again, and I just can't let my guard down. I have heard from lots of women that their husbands coming back and trying to settle into a family again is really hard, but I wasn't sure of how it would be for us. When my husband came home from Korea, that was a hard time for us to get settled back into us again too, I know we can do it, it's just that I really wanted it to be back to normal right away.So, how does it go for you guys? Do you think it's hard to settle back into things, mostly because of being independent for so long or? Tell me what you think!

Smiles, Hugs and Sighs of relief

1. My Handsome husband is HOME! ( for good for a while)2. I have unpacked and organized every single room, but the office, which is going to wait until I get a desk and bookshelf lol3. this is HUGE- I Finally have Internet!!! Ha Ha.. you don't know how much you use it until you don't have it4. It's going to get even crazier around here because starting in June my hubby has a whole month off! YES!I promise to start posting more regularly again for all my new followers :) If I still am not following you please let me know! And thanks for following along! Once i reach 100 followers I plan to do a pretty awesome give-away and for lots of you I know military balls are coming up. ( That's a hint ) :)

I'm living in a cave at the moment, I have no Internet :( So i didn't get to finish out the Wives of Faith blog carnival :( and I haven't been able to check my bank account which has really really freaked me out :)
I drove down to Ft. hood on Monday and the kids have been crazy off their schedules and I have been unpacking super fast because my hubby will officially be HOME in single digits :) I'm so excited! So needless to say the O household will be a little crazy these next couple of weeks.
