Christmas LOVE

Sunday, December 20, 2009

As I explained to my three year old about how Santa operates, he was distraught that Santa doesn't bring mommy and daddy presents just little kids. He blurted "oh yes, he will bring my daddy home" and then he went on to say "and I will say thank you so much Santa!" From the mouths of babes right? He is so sweet.
Santa that would be great if for Christmas you could bring Daddy home. I'm just saying, I wouldn't ask for another thing.

The Italian Man

Saturday, December 19, 2009

I heard from my husband this morning, and his R&R date was moved yet again. I went into pout mode and felt as if my day had been ruined. But instead what I received was not necessarily bad news but a message.
I went to get my car washed and it was just one of the many "chores" I had to get done, while I sat waiting, this heavy set Italian man walked in.He started to make small talk with me and I was having a hard time taking him seriously. He was talking about how he bought all the girls that worked for him gift cards and so on. We went on to discuss a good gift for my dad, a live DVD concert, (which is a great idea by the way) and then my husband came up. As i said earlier I was fuming from the recent news, but what this man said to me was exactly what I needed to hear.
"You know God puts us only where we need to be, I know its a hard situation to have your husband in a war zone but he is there for a reason and we just need to thank God for all the blessings we have in our lives."
What this heavy set Italian man did and said not only improved my day but made me thank God for all the blessings he has given me in this life. My husband is there for a reason, he wont be here to celebrate Little A's first birthday, but for reasons unknown, he will be exactly where he needs to be. I can be sad but I also need to thank God for being such a faithful God and providing for me more than I can ever deserve.
I do believe that I went to get my car washed at the same time as the Italian Man for a reason, God talks to us in many different ways, many different hours, and what I needed to be reminded of just came to me in a heavy set Italian Man.

The pits of deployment

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

This is little A and yes she is gorgeous and If you can believe it she is ALWAYS this happy, God will give you whatever you need and I needed this litlle woman in my life.
This is big A. The love of my life, He taught me so much about myself and how to be a mommy, and also to leave the diaper on while you change him....so you don't get peed on. LOL He is three years old now and I can't believe what an amazing little man he is growing up to be.

This is my soldier. He stole my heart and has all my love. He really is the greatest man I have ever met and I would not change one second of my life with him, we learn so much from one another, and hey isn't he DREAMY .

Although some days I want to pout, this blog is not going to be about that, its going to be about the amazing things God is doing in my life, my soldier's life and my kiddos life, and the pits of deployment. Don't you worry though, it's a crazy and beautiful life and it's all mine.
