Do you ever feel like you are in a constant state of waiting? Waiting for your husband to come home, waiting for your load of laundry to finish drying, waiting for your opportunity to hop in the shower and only get the chance to shave one leg and hopefully your armpits :) That's where I'm at this moment.. I can NOT WAIT for my husband to be home to be home, to kiss him, make him dinner, spend time with the kids Together as a family. What a novelty right?
It's weird what all we do wait for when we have these amazing things right in front of us. I have a one year old trying to walk and three year old who thinks he is 21 :) He is so funny he gets these ideas in his head and seriously thinks that's the exact way it should be. This is such a weird feeling wanting time to pass as fast as possible but then wanting to soak up every second with my kiddos. I just don't want to miss one moment of them growing up.
I know once this R&R is over my life will be crazy, packing up, moving back to Ft. Hood, getting the kids resettled and new friends and old friends and a new job for my hubby.. whew it just sounds exhausting to me. But it's so worth it. To see these kids with their daddy and to see that man walk through the airport. (I'm dreaming of that this very moment) So here is to those women whose life really is ALL about waiting, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thinking on a Thursday :)

Another Award! Sarah over athttp://gijoeswife.blogspot.com/ hooked me up with an award. As soon as the craziness passes at this house I'll be sure to pass it on! Thanks girly! She is a super new military wifey and could always use some encouragement!
So not much here, just getting ready for partying down for little A and then I'm going to go out of town to spend some time with my family before R&R gets here! I'm beyond excited, but a little nervous for the changes it's going to bring. When the Hubs returned from Korea it was a SUPER hard adjustment and now we have 2 kiddos in the mix, so I'm wondering how things will go but I can't wait until he is here! WOOOO HOOOOO lol
On a side note, I received in the mail a book I have been wanting a while called, To Train Up A Child, let me just say I am all for kids needing a spanking when they have been super naughty, but these people actually suggest you switch ( yes that's right a switch from a tree!) your 5 MONTH old baby! No, I'm not joking. It's books like this that give Christians a bad name, I am quite positive that God would not switch an INNOCENT 5 month old. He is a merciful God and can forgive all the transgressions we adults can do, I'm sure he is most merciful towards children. I was in shock when I read this. I actually still am, I can't even imagine that in my head without cringing. Poor babies! I am going to continue reading the book, just because its like a train wreck, I just can't take my eyes off of it. So I'm sure I'll have another rant about this book in a future post.
I'm hope you are all ready for the weekend, I sure am and one week down only three and a half to go!

Birthday Blues

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby girl Aubree! She is 1 today and I can't believe how much time has flown by.. I'm a little sad first of all that my baby is one and second of all that my hubby wasn't here for her birthday. But oh well what a celebration we are going to have for her! I'm so excited and I think I was a little excessive in buying the decorations and ordering the cake and food and my goodness this girl is only one and she will never remember this birthday! LOL But its going to be great and you should TOTALLY see her birthday outfit :) Oh I can't wait. The party is on Saturday so I'll post the pics once we are done partying down.
So yeah I'm sad today and my husband is sad today, all because our baby girl is one. I'm not joking when I say I feel like I JUST gave birth to her, and now she is about to walk and run. I can't wait for her daddy to see her, how big she is and what a stinkin cute little personality she has. She is AMAZING!
So Happy Birthday to my princess, I can't wait to see the little woman you become!

Coming home from the hospital! Just 2 days old :)

She looks gorgeous EVEN with food all over her face lol

Valentine's Day

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Well, overall with a deployed hubby my v-day was okay. I got a really pretty bouquet with a teddy and chocolates :) And got to talk to the hubs for a bit on the phone. He knows how bad I have been wanting a Cricut (http://www.cricut.com/(X(1)S(sk2xvd45lnos4555nouzuars))/default.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1) so since Big Lots was having them on a special he told me to get one! Woo Hoo! I went and of course they were sold out but thanks to Wally World and price matching I got 2 cartridges and the personal Cricut (with a cartridge included) all for the bargain price of 164.00. I am beyond pumped, and yes I already found something to use my Cricut for! So its been a good day, a long day, but good.
I feel so blessed to have such an incredible husband. He is so sweet and generous, and yeah I know it sounds corny but I really do think he is the best husband ( but of course only for me!) I'm counting down the days to R&R only 28 approximate days lol. I CAN NOT WAIT To kiss that man :)
Happy Valentines Day!

FRIDAY!

Friday, February 12, 2010

Woo, It has been quite a week. Big A has been a stinker this week to say the least. He gets into little ruts if he doesn't hear from Daddy, and then i think subconsciously Mommy is the one blamed, so let's just say Mommy has been the target this week. I'll admit I haven't had the patience I should, I have lost my temper and been angry at my three year old. Now other mothers out there reading this, don't try to kid yourself that you have never been angry towards your kids, we usually just choose not to share it with the world.
I pray every night to have more patience ( this is NOT an exaggeration) I know the Lord will give me all I need if I have faith that he will, I just figure I can't ever have too much patience. I used to be the super patient mommy, It took me a long time to grow exasperated or to be angry quickly, but as you know deployments take their toll on everyone differently.
So as I was reading the bible asking the Lord to guide me through this horribly LONG week, I came across a scripture:
Proverbs 3:17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
Yes, its HUGE, I know. In a way I almost tried to run from it- even though it was YELLING at me. "Pay attention!"
So its finally Friday and I can say today was better. Not as smooth as I would wish but better and hey that's really all I can ask for. To get a little better everyday and before I know it this deployment will be over and Big A will have his daddy back, until then I can enjoy turning on the music and dancing with both my kiddos in the kitchen, spinning in cirlces :) Yes at that moment, I am pleasant and I have peace bursting out of me in every single way, and my kids can have the mom they deserve, who isn't way too stressed out to enjoy some dancing to Fall out Boy :)

Daddy Dolls

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

For you military families out there, If you don't have a daddy doll, you should DEFINITELY get one. My kiddos LOVE it and a few weeks ago when we celebrated my sister's birthday we snapped a few shots so my hubby could get in on the festivities!

This is me giving him some LOVE. I look like a bum lol

My little sister giving him some much needed queso and chips :)

Sweet baby, sleeping with her daddy-o.

This is my brother-in-law. Can't you tell they are best buds!

Big A, he thought we were such humongous nerds lol but this pic is too adorable.

My other little sister, with her daughter Emerie. Hubs was just checking everything out :) HAHA

My mom and Hubs going for a "joy ride"

This is my sweet daddy, what soldier doesn't LOVE a Smirnoff ice lol???

My other little sister... If you don't know this game... YOU NEED TO LEARN IT!

And of course the Birthday girl, hubs just loves a good game of candy land!

So as you all can tell, we had too much fun and a Daddy doll is a necessity lol. And I just was missing my soldier tonight, so much so much so much. I might have to go get the daddy doll out of my sons room and cuddle up :)

Happy SuperBOWL day :)

Sunday, February 7, 2010

So my almost one year old (in 12 days) thinks it is the best thing ever to stick her hand in.... THE TOILET! I seriously thought only dogs did this, oh no baby girls do this too, and she is quick and sneaky and totally lets me know while she is doing it. I'll have just gone to throw something in the trash and I can hear the splashing and then I'll run down the hall to see *sigh* the rubbing of the toilet water on her face and other hand. I try to keep the doors closed, but with a 3 year old having to potty every twenty minutes, you know that is such an incredibly hard task, shutting the door.
So far we have had to take 3- count them 3 "I have rubbed toilet water all over myself" baths. WHEN WILL THIS END! Toilets and I are not friends right now. I guess I can just be thankful we don't have outhouses anymore, seriously could you imagine that? UGH I think I may have just gagged a little :) lol
Well onward to pick a bazillion toy cars and put a 3 year old who refuses to sleep, down for nap time. I'm excited can't you tell :)
Happy Superbowl day to me! (In more ways than one)

Photobucket

Hey Guys! My Name is Alia, and I am a 23 year old mother of two, wife of a MP (who is currently deployed to Afghanistan) We are living in NM right now because of family being here but our Duty Station is Ft. Hood, Texas. I am a stay at home mom and I love it ( seriously) some days it is very hard but its ALWAYS rewarding, I wouldn't want anyone else taking care of my kiddos.

This is Alijah and Aubree, they are so amazing. Each have such a special personality and I love them so much. Aubree is getting big enough to be able to play with her brother and that is just so awesome to see! I call Aubree "Aubzilla" because she loves to destroy the toys. LOL

My Husband really is such an amazing man. He is a great daddy and a wonderful husband, and an even better soldier, He so loves what he does and is so proud to fight for this country. We met in middle school and were "boyfriend and girlfriend", then went our separate ways because we each went to different high schools, and then my senior year, He came into the coffee shop I worked as a manager at, and I hired him. I had a boyfriend, but I could tell we had a connection. We hung out some but it wasn't until my boyfriend went away to college that Tim and I really started to date, and the rest is history. He really is my HERO.

He'll be mad I put up this shirtless picture, but I just love it so much lol. This was taken right before he deployed. We are anxiously awaiting his return!
So that's me in a nutshell! Don't be afraid to come on over, ask some questions, and get to know us!

Alia
Ashley at Raising Brats( www.raisingbrats.blogspot.com) just gave me my very first award! Thank you so much!!

Its the Honest Scrap Award
"The Honest Scrap award comes with a caveat or two. First, you have to tell your readers ten things about you they may not know, but that are true. Second, you have to tag 10 people with the award. Third, let all the people you've given the award to know that they've gotten it (comment on their blogs or something). And finally, make sure you link back to the person who awarded you."

White as Snow

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

IT'S SNOWING!! I love the snow just watching it come down is relaxing, and it feels almost surreal in a way. The snow comes down and makes everything solid white and beautiful. Just like our Heavenly Father does for us, all we need to do is ask him. What an amazing gift he offers to us! Wash away all the old, unwanted, and make us beautiful, the way he created us to be.
It's seems such a simple thing to do- ask and it shall be given, there is just one thing that comes along with asking, you have to be willing to do the work. To work hard at living how he wants us to, be faithful that the Lord will provide ALL of your needs, not on your terms but HIS. But what a great deal! Try hard, do as he asks, and have faith and have Everlasting life. I don't know about you, but I can't think of anything much better than that.
It is hard work, I struggle a lot. I struggle with this deployment, my husband being away, doing the role of both parents, but I know in the end I have someone who will never abandon me, forsake me- The LORD! How amazing what a blessing, whenever I'm in need all I need to do is ask him.
So as I sit I here, my kiddos napping, watching the snow come down, it is just one more blessing I am given, If God is willing to do such beautiful, amazing things to the earth. He surely would want to do even GREATER and more beautiful things in me, his child! What an incredible, Awesome God we have!

3 is a crowd

Monday, February 1, 2010

WOW! Let me just first start by saying I love babies, I would have a million if I could. I love being pregnant, buying maternity clothes, and just love everything about birth. But today I had the opportunity of watching my 2 year old nephew along with my two kiddos, and whoa! It was so ridiculously hard! I'm usually patient and pretty relaxed when it comes to babies but this was one of the hardest jobs ever, trying to keep little A out of the bathroom and big A and Cuz from fighting over toys, and wrestling too roughly, and just all around keeping these boys safe and FED!
I love babies but I'm so not ready for three kiddos, Hubby has been really pushing for the 3rd when he comes home and I tell him how hard this deployment has been on me emotionally, and how tired I am going through the TERRIBLE THREES!!!! ( Don't let people tell you age 2 is hard... it so isn't compared to 3 year olds.) He has agreed that we can just settle into being this family for a while, enjoy the 2 before bringing anymore in. I'm excited for us to be a family again, and I can't wait for Daddy-o to "Meet" the kiddos again. I know God is going to do amazing things for our family and I can't wait to see what is to come.
Oh and PS I totally called my doctor and made an appointment for birth control, its tomorrow :) LOL
