Lets talk about names

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

So I'm a crazy lady and already I am thinking about names.
For this baby we have decided to be surprised.
(Well I decided and hubs was sweet to go along)
When I asked him if he liked the idea he said:
"no, I hate surprises" ha well too bad sweet husband. LOL

anyways we are having some different opinions on names.
Here's my favorites
- Charlotte aka sweet baby girl Charlie
-Ezekiel aka baby boy Zeke
-Cadence
-Teegun (I heart this name)
I am keeping the middle name a secret because no matter what I'm using it lol
My hubby only likes Charlie.. but what if we have a boy?

What's some of your favorite names?

Have you ever heard of Wives of Faith?
I have talked about it a few times on here,
I also talked a little bit about Survival Sisters.
I think this is such a GREAT opportunity to get in touch with another mil-spouse close to you!
The Survival Sister semester will last 6 weeks,
and each week you do a bible study on your own and then you chat with your survival sister about it. Either on the phone, facebook, possibly in person if you are paired with someone that close :) (which I'm really hoping for this time)
It's just a way to have a friend who knows exactly what you are going/ have gone through.
And hopefully get a closer relationship with God.
Please check it out, I think if you can prepare yourself to give to something for 6 weeks, you will get a ton back!

This semester we will be studying from the book God Strong by Sara Horn.
The book is awesome!
You can relate to every single thing said in it, seriously.
So come on! What do you have to lose?

The MP Ball

Friday, August 27, 2010

12 weeks here, and yes my belly is HUGE already :)

This is my hubby's ssgt. As you can tell they had been drinking a little bit
One of my hubby's soldiers

I love this sweet man.

This was my very first ball! I had a lot of fun. I thought my feet would seriously fall off though from my lack of high heel wearing days, but the shoes were hot. Childcare was provided but only until 10 and the formal part of the ball wasn't over until 9:45 so I didn't get to dance 1 time :( But overall we had a great time.
My hubby's 1sgt. literally yelled at me. LOL He was drunk and came over and told me he needed to talk to me. I was nervous and he told me how he couldn't BELIEVE I wanted Hubs to go recruiting and that it would ruin our marriage. And he also proceeded to tell me how his wife kicked him out while he was a recruiter, and on and on. (He was the reason I didn't get to dance) So, have you guys heard this about recruiting??

Oh and p.s. I have never had someone cuss like that in a conversation EVER, I know that's how they talk to one another but.. yikes..

11 and 1/2 weeks

Monday, August 23, 2010

I'm 11 and 1/2 weeks now..
I'm about to hit the second trimester on Friday,
and I'm STILL feeling like poo.
I know I am such a complainer right now.

-Meat totally disgusts me
-My hips are killing me
-I am trying to drink as much water as possible so I don't have to get an IV :(
- I was finally able to get switched from an on-post birth to the dr. who delivered Little A
and we are still thinking about doing the all-natural birth but I have to make sure I'm not high risk like I was with my two little ones before.
-My thyroid is totally out of whack (I have hypothyroidism) and your chances of having a still-born go up dramatically if your thyroid is off a little bit.

Well now that I have sufficiently whined here is some more info:
Hubs has his recruiting packet all filled out, but he has a feeling he may be denied because he has too many children to fit the qualifications and a third on the way so that's super news.
And we are thinking of moving on post to save us some money since we think recruiting may go out the window.
We will have to break our lease which is a pain but it will save us almost 300.00 a month ( which is a big chunk)
I'm just not sure what to do.

I'm tired and my house is a disaster.
If someone wants to come do my laundry: I'll happily let you

Natural vs. Medicated

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

So my best friend Lauren and I were chatting the other day about the birth of my last baby :)
I have really been thinking about doing an all natural water birth. But then when I really think about it I get a little freaked out. I think it would be such an awesome experience, but the thought of me not having ANY meds is such a huge decision and frankly scares me. Lauren had her second baby, 100% naturally and she really thinks it was such an experience. So we got together and put up a Discussion Board on her facebook page to see what other mommies thought about this.

I want to know what you think! I am so torn between the birth center or the hospital. I will have to tell the story of my horrible epidural experience with my first birth for another time, just because I don't have time for that now :)

I do really love what this mom had to say:
I think every mom should get to hear "good for you" and "i have a lot of respect for you" REGARDLESS of if they had a natural, epidural, or C-section.

So true! Having a baby and raising it is such a feat and one that needs to be praised always!
So tell me what your opinion is? And I would LOVE to hear your birth story :)

New favorite thing

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

So here's my new favorite thing:
Have you ever seen "Minute to Win It"
It's super awesome. It's just a show where people do ridiculous things for money.
The tasks are intense and you are almost shocked every time someone wins.
But it's not just watching it, it's watching with my 4 year old :)
He must add commentary:
"oh my gosh"
"look how hard this is mommy!"
"oh that's "possible" (which means impossible)
It's adorable, I mean seriously.
He even tries to re-create the show with his toys.
And shows me what they should have done ( because he totally knows best)

What's your favorite thing to do right now?

Monday, August 9, 2010

My posts have been few and far between lately.
It's not because I don't have things to talk about, it's just because I have been feeling horrible.
It's been crazy around here, trying to get all the stuff for hubs recruiting packet.
Getting the kids put into cys ( finally)
and now to top it all off:

A very unexpected, but very welcomed surprise,

I'm 9 & 1/2 weeks pregnant
(give or take a few days).

Yes we are surprised to say the least.
But we are also VERY excited.
I have been laying around the house like a pile of death.
I had super quick morning sickness with Big A, I puked in the morning and then felt great the rest of the day.
With Little A I was pretty nauseous, but I rarely puked. I just was in pain from an enlarged cyst on my ovary.
But with number 3- I am soooo soooo sick. I puke all day and am lucky if I can keep anything I eat down. Saltines honestly make it worse, they just gross me out.
Ginger Ale is okay, but I just feel terrible not drinking water.
I have had a ton of cramping and that's just not fun.

So I'm very tired.
I'm praying this ends with the 1st trimester.

And now you know why I am gone so often lately, if it takes pretty much any effort, I'm just not doing it right now.
But once I'm feeling better I'll tell you all every single detail :)

oh p.s. we still haven't filled in aunts and uncles so if you keep keep this on the dl if you know me on facebook, I would really appreciate it!

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Well Miss Abigail Mae was born last night at 2:21 am. She weighed 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Mommy and baby are doing great! Thanks for your prayers and sweet wishes.

So here is what's going on in the O household:
My hubby is getting ready to put in his recruiting packet. We are really praying for him to get a school date in early October.
We have decided against school this semester for big A. If everything works out we will be moving before Christmas and then we will put big A into a mom's day out program.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I really hope it works out.

We are putting the kiddos into swim lessons for then end of August/ beginning of September and I am going to put both of them into tumbling class which I think is going to be awesome for them.

So here comes August full on!

I'm going to be an Auntie

Monday, August 2, 2010

Our niece is being delivered via induced c-section today ( at some point). My husbands sister-in-law, has an enlarged spleen. Very enlarged. So they are having to take the baby 4 weeks early because after blood tests galore, they think the reason for the enlargement could be cancer. So if you could please keep her in your prayers today.
That's it for today!
