Strech Marks, Varicose Veins, and Sagging Parts - OH MY!

Sunday, March 28, 2010

Since my husband has returned home skinny and ripped,( p90x style) I have had super low self esteem, I normally don't feel so self conscious, but let me just say apparently the devil is trying to get into my head.. But I will vent for one minute. :)

-I have Stretch marks in places I seriously did not know I even had (I'm not kidding). My tummy is officially never ever EVER bikini worthy... or my booty for that matter.

-I'm starting to get varicose veins.... ummmmm seriously, I'm 23 years old and I'm not pregnant now so what the heck!

-wooo my body will just never be the same, I've got some things sagging i didn't know would sag like that, I feel like I should sing that song "do your ears hang low" but obviously I'll change the ears part LOL

-So really, being pregnant to me is so so much fun, but it has forever wrecked the body I was once so super proud of and the fact that I could once wear normal shorts :)

So from now on I'm looking at these things as my battle wounds, If guys are proud of scars from fights etc. I can be proud of the wrecking pregnancy took on my skinny 128 pound body, because I got 2 BEAUTIFUL babies out of my battles. Do You have battle scars?

  1. oh my I know how you feel. This is my first pregnancy and I have stretch marks in every place imaginable. It is disappointing, but like you said I would do it again for my little one. I hope you feel better, I have a feeling your husband loves you the same no matter what! :)

  3. I hear you! I'm still trying to get used to having this mommy body. Some days I'm positive about it, but other days I just don't think I'll ever be happy with it.

  6. I feel the same way. But I want to get rid of my battle wounds. NOW. I found 2 new stretch marks--or I think they're new...I may have just ignored them before--and now I'm freaking out. I seriously didn't eat for a whole day after seeing them. And I just wish my tatas could find their way back up where they used to be...

  8. Oh man, I sure do. I hate them and I even cry when I look at myself naked sometimes. But all I have to do is look at my daughter and I'm reminded that it was worth it. She doesn't care about my stretch marks and muffin top, lol!

  10. Yes! I think every (MOST) mommy's feel this way. We just gave our daughter the 'sex' talk and my husband made the comment to her that men think their wives are most beautiful when wearing an evening dress than when naked. I think this is because they have a much deeper love for us and we don't have to look like super models for our husbands to love us and enjoy us.

Don't let the devil inside your head. Remember that God made the two of you for each other and your husband loves you!
