Music is such a gift to us. Songs can trigger all sorts of memories. Happy ones, sad ones, all of your seasons of life probably have a song you could connect to it.
My high school reunion is coming up and my FB has been flooded with songs that bring back all sorts of feelings. Remember Nelly? Oh please don't even get me started :)
But with deployment looming, I have really been trying to get myself prepared to mother 4 kids alone for a year. It seriously sounds so scary. SO overwhelming. I know lot's of women do it. I just don't know if I want to. Also I don't think my brain has processed the news fully yet. Denial anyone? lol
So I picked my theme song for this season.
You make me brave
You make me brave
No fear can hinder now
The promises You've made
Love. It's exactly what I need right.
So tell me what are some of your theme songs?
Nelly! LOL I'm always telling my husband about that song Airforce Ones. Give me two pair, I want two pair....
ReplyDeleteHe loves that side of me. LMAO
And music is a huge part of my life too; my husband's as well. I'm going to do a post on our music likes eventually!
Right before our 4th deployment I walked into church and heard Mandisa- "He is With You" and it really encouraged me. Also, "Held" by Natalie Grant.
ReplyDelete*Hugs* It is so hard to think about how you will get through the deployment, but you will, day by day if you have to.
I really wish I had a theme song, hmm I might have to work on this haha.
ReplyDeleteGotta love Nelly! I was just thinking how one of my all time favorite hip hop acts are coming here next wk... I can never go wrong with Pharcyde's "Passing me By"...
ReplyDeleteTotally need to get a theme song! Eye of the tiger? Lol ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I love "held" so good. Perfect for a deployment!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! I love finding new music to listen too! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis summer I'm going with my hubby to see Fall out boy and whiz khalifia, I don't know much from whiz khalifia but FOB is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteOoh, Wiz Khalifa would be a good show! I wouldn't mind going to see him!!
ReplyDeleteIt IS scary. But I know you can do it. My husband is deployed now. I just have two kids, and yes, some days are hard, but I am coping. Sometimes I need chocolate to help cope ;)
ReplyDeleteHa ha yes to chocolate! The last time my hubby was deployed I only had two kids, so I've literally doubled! Yikes lol
