I totally agree with this... I actually know someone who drank during their pregnancy and now her little girl has fetal alcohol syndrome. It's really sad.
I'm pregnant and I'm not even drinking anything with caffeine, let alone alcohol.
I totally agree! I'm not a big drinker anyway, but I can definitely go 9 months without alcohol. I have a post-it on my blog from Tuesday about craving beer right now while I'm pregnant... which is just bizarre. I have waited tables & tended bar in the past & have always loathed the smell of beer... but for some reason it is so appealing right now. I haven't had one, though!
I completely agree. It angers me especially when people throw in the excuse of "Well you don't have kids so you don't understand." I'm sorry but I would give ANYTHING to have my babies back on Earth. I also know of one young mother who thought it would be fine until she decided to terminate or not and ended up only having a few drinks at about 6 weeks in. Guess what? Her baby girl is now 5 and has fetal alcohol syndrome and stunted growth. The doctors say she won't ever develop past the mental capacity of a 12 year old.
You go girl! I think this 199% wrong lol ... I think it pathetic when women cannot give up smoking and drinking for 9 mos (or longer depending on if you breastfeed) for your child's health! ABSOLUTELY pathetic.
